I have long and varied experience in virtually every Patent Law and Trademark Law issue based on over 30 years experience.

I am an expert in patent procurement, counseling and monetization by licensing and litigation. Also expert in all facets of trademark law and trademark procurement.

I have extensive experience in patent preparation and prosecution. I have prepared over 4000 original applications and prosecuted over 99% of these into patents, including numerous patents that have been successfully litigated and licensed.

I have two decades of experience at “Big Law” firms: Fish & Richardson, PC and Cushman Darby & Cushman. I have represented companies of all sizes, from Fortune 500 companies to startups to individuals.

Extensive experience with patent assertion entities, including evaluating patent portfolios to determine infringement, and evaluating possible defenses to infringement including due diligence packages and infringement claim charts. Experience enhancing patent portfolio values by acquiring additional claims in patents. My evaluation services have resulted in licenses of over $300 million.

More than 20 of the patents I have written have been successfully litigated in Federal Court, including patents covering:
CMOS image sensors as used in cell phones, Cell phone coding schemes, electronic book reading, multiple resolution display over the internet, anti spam software, computer access control via cryptographic hardware, graphic processing units (GPUs), cellular telephone address storage, computer control of abrading of denim products using lasers, GPS navigators, user interface features of cellphones, stage lights and their computer automation, and bar codes.

I have written patents for inventors appearing on “Shark Tank”.  I have special expertise in obtaining Design Patents, Software patent protection, and User Interface Protection. I am an inventor on over 10 issued patents that have been successfully litigated.
